For most projects, I require a percentage of the total fee as a retainer. This and the signed contract will give me the okay to begin work on the project.
I can invoice you for completed work if you prefer to pay by check, or you can pay me by credit card. The charge will appear on your statement as coming from "Promoting Outstanding Writers".
You can also pay online by credit card through PayPal. Here's how the PayPal arrangement works: When your project is complete, I will send you an e-mail to request payment. As soon as I have been notified by PayPal that payment has been made, I will forward your completed project to you. Just let me know which option you prefer for billing.
Projects such as author services may also be purchased online at the POW! Store. Once there, click on "POW! SERVICES" in the menu to get to the page featuring those items and prices. You'll also find subscriptions, packages and all the individual rungs of A Professional Writer's Ladder to Success that have been released under "Books" and "E-books" on the POW! site.
For new clients, after the initial retainer, payment of the remaining fee for a project is due when the work is delivered. For established business clients, work is billed when delivered. As a small business, I can only take on a select number of clients and I depend on them to pay me promptly; thus invoices older than 30 days are assessed a late fee of 18% APR on the past-due balance, with a minimum of $10. Invoices 60 days past due will be assessed an additional finance charge. Invoices 90 days past due will be turned over to a collection agency, with collection fees added to the total due.
My fees are affordable and competitive. I'm not the most inexpensive writer or editor around, but I guarantee you'll get your money's worth. My author clients have gone on to be successfully published, and even to win awards for their books. Some have written additional books and hired me to edit those, too. My business clients keep giving me repeat business, as well. I've also won awards for my writing. If I deliver anything with which you're not delighted, I'll happily fix it for you.
