Grants Many non-profit groups depend on grants for their very survival. Grant funds are available today from an array of public sources and private foundations. But with an ever-increasing amount of applicants, following the application instructions to the letter is essential to having your project or organization considered for funding. During my last year in the corporate world, I designed and administered a grant program. This gave me insight into what grantmakers are looking for in the applications they receive. Also at this time, I attended training classes for grantwriters to learn how other programs were designed and in what format applications were submitted for the funds. This gave me insight into the process from the applicant's viewpoint. I have since attended additional training on grantwriting to keep those skills sharp. If you need help in designing your grant program, I can put these skills to work for you. If you need help in writing a proposal to apply for grant funds, I can also help. Such visibility can also help justify your projects or department to the executives in your company. For authors, awards help boost sales of your book and raise your own profile to support your marketing efforts. I have written several successful award nominations and can help you design a winner.
