While serving on the board of
directors for RecycleFlorida Today, Lynn became the editor of the group's
newsletter, Renewable News. RFT is an industry trade group of recycling professionals
from both the public and private sectors. Many articles for the
newsletter were submitted by members, while others were written by the
editor. Its purpose was to inform members about upcoming
events, private sector and legislative developments affecting the industry,
as well as to share ideas about successful recycling and public education
programs from around the state. Recognition was also given to sponsors
and volunteers for their efforts in furthering the group's mission, and ads
were sold to help underwrite the cost of the publication.

Phone Book Roundup was a newsletter published by Lynn's former employer,
a major telephone directory publisher, from 1997-2001. She designed and
wrote it to maintain interest in phone book recycling programs among local
community partners, company executives, recycling & waste industry partners,
and paper mill fiber buyers & brokers. All of these partners were necessary to make the recycling
programs work. The recipients numbered over 900 people nationwide. Copies were also sent to other regional directory
publishers and recycling industry media to share ideas that worked and
promote our company's efforts. News affecting each aspect of the
programs was covered, while thank-yous to sponsors helped them gain some
publicity among prospective customers. The newsletter was a 1998
finalist for Keep Florida Beautiful's Media/Public Relations award.
Stories from it were occasionally picked up by national recycling industry
media, giving the company further recognition for its environmental efforts.

Gator Breeze
was the newsletter for the
Jax Beaches Gators, a group of alumni and friends of the University of
Florida who meet to discuss Gator sports and raise funds for scholarships.
Lynn was its editor from 2002-2004. The newsletter's purpose was to make club
members aware of upcoming club and alumni association events, as well as to
encourage their involvement by showing photos of past events and to
recognize club sponsors. News
stories on seasonal sports and individual members helped to maintain awareness
and build a sense of community. |

Noteworthy was the newsletter of Young
Executives in Support of the Symphony (Y.E.S.S.). Lynn became its
editor while serving on the board of directors for the group in the early
1990s. The organization was a "friend-raising" group for the
Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, introducing young professionals to
classical music while building the symphony's future audience and board
leadership. The
newsletter was one means of educating the Y.E.S.S. members and enticing them
to attend symphony concerts and volunteer for club events.
