Training for Authors

Coming Soon: Book Marketing Plan!

Why aren't your books selling? You wrote a great book, and you've got it for sale on the largest book marketplace in the world. So, where are the readers? Where are the royalties?

Most book authors don't have a clue that they need a marketing plan for their books. This is something that has always given my editing clients a leg up on the competition.

After working with many authors over the years, I've designed my Book Editing Package to include a coaching package on writing a book marketing plan. Each week, while I'm working on their content edit, the author gets an assignment to research one aspect of the plan and think about how they'll put that information to use in marketing their own book. At the end of that time, when I'm done with the content edit, they have a written marketing plan for their book!

Then I thought, "Why not turn this into a training program for all authors?"

So, I did! Soon you can work through a program on your own to research and write your book's marketing plan. There are thirteen modules to the training, which you can complete at your own pace. I'll also offer a guided version of it, for those who want that, and even a premium done-for-you version.

Coming Soon: Videos Made Easy!

Sure, you'd love to have a fancy book trailer for your newest tome, or maybe even a speaker reel to promote your speaking services. But who can afford the prices people charge you to make those?

You're no videographer, but what if a tool you probably already have in your computer could help you make decent-looking videos to promote your work?

This training package will familiarize you with that software, help you navigate through all the technical terms involved in the equipment you need to make your own videos, show you several other cool tools you can use and what they do, and get you started creating video content within days!

All three versions of this training will also be offered: completely self-paced DIY, guided training, or a done-for-you option.

Coming Soon: Paths to Publishing!

You've finished writing your book, but what do you do now? How do your words get from your manuscript into an actual book you can sell to readers? This training introduces you to each of the potential paths to publishing, covers their pros and cons, and helps you decide which is best to meet your unique needs. You'll learn about the book industry terminology so you can fool anybody into thinking your an old pro!

This is a great follow-up to the Book Marketing Plan training discussed above. In fact, it's adapted from material I have provided to my own editing clients as I work through their copy edit!

The self-paced and guided versions only will be offered for this training; I can't decide which publishing path is best for you, so the done-for-you option is not practical.
